QR codes
Every link ships with a scannable QR code automatically — no separate step, no separate tool.
Every link's qrUrl field (returned by create
and visible on get) points at a real, cacheable
image — not a redirect to a third-party QR generator.
GET https://jot.co.zm/api/qr/<shortCode>.svg
GET https://jot.co.zm/api/qr/<shortCode>.png
- No authentication required — the QR image is as public as the short link it encodes.
- 512×512px, served with a one-year immutable
Cache-Control— safe to embed directly in a flyer, poster, or app without re-fetching it. - 404 if the short code doesn't exist or has been deactivated.
- Watermarked on the Free plan, watermark-free on every paid tier — automatic based on the link owner's plan, not something you request.
The image is generated once per short code and cached in R2 — the first request after a link is created compiles it, every request after that is a cache hit.
This endpoint always renders Jot's own default style. The richer style picker (square / dots / "trek" presets, custom colors, export resolution) shown in the dashboard's share panel is a client-side feature for human use there, not a parameter this API endpoint accepts.
